Second Day

When I first got to park n rec and the kids noticed me, the girls ran up to me and welcomed me with hugs. After, I met with this 3rd grader that I promised we would make a book together. Her book was about with her friends and mine was about a butterfly. I thought it was funny making that book cause I had try to make my mentality the age of she was so she would actually understand what I wrote. By the time we finished our book it was time to clean up.

Later on when it was time for a rec meeting,  we talked about the plans for Halloween. They talked about the games that would happen and also other ideas that the kids wanted to do. It was cute how the kids were so excited about the games.

After the meeting, the kids all went up to play in the playground. I played with a different group of girls. One of the girls seemed like the leader of the group because she was bossing everyone around but they seemed to not mind. They wanted to have a fashion show which dealt with making weird poses that someone had to choose. They also made rules which was adorable because rule number one was to not be shy because no one with judge you.

When time was up, the kids went all back inside and played this game called zap and who ever the winner was would win a pumpkin. Near the end of the day, everyone got to go back to the computer lab till everyone got picked up.

I had lots of fun even if it was just my second day with the kids. They make me feel like I've known them for most of my life when in reality I didn't. I still haven't gotten everyone's names down but I will eventually. I also plan to get the opportunity to get to be able to interact with the boy kids instead of always with the girls. Most of the boys think I have cooties.
